How should I word my attire suggestion on my wedding website? The attire is semi- formal and the colors I would love for my guests to wear are black, ivory/white, gold & champagne. Of course not all of these colors at once but to their liking. ( ex- black dress and gold heels)

You can request a certain attire style (semi-formal) but cannot require certain colors unless you are paying for their clothes.
On your website or details card, you could add something along the line of We are having a semi-formal wedding and we would love it if you could dress in Black, White, Gold or Champagne but we are just happy that you can celebrate with us. Leave it up to them and understand that some may come in different colors.

Attire: semi-formal. It is requested, but not required, for you to be part of our theme by wearing: black, ivory, white, champagne, or gold.

You can request all wear semi-formal by stating "Semi-formal attire requested. Suggested color scheme: ........insert your colors"
or you can say something along the lines of what Sherry mentioned above.
