attention Invitation Diyers

Hi!

I'm good friends with a local artist, and she is giving me an AMAZING rate on designs for my Save the Dates/Invitation Suite/Thank You Cards. I love this because it not only stimulates the economy of local small business, but also saves me money while giving me a produce perfectly unique to The Honey and I.

That being said, she is sending the artwork in digital files so that I can print as many as I need. That's where I need your help!

Can anyone share their experience with invitation printing at Office Max?

Any tips on picking out the perfect paper for invitations? I'm sending my Save the Dates as postcards.

Of course.... anything else helpful!

I actually printed my own via just card stock and my own printer. You could try a sample yourself and see how you like it then if not go to Office Depot or staples and just have one printed as a sample

I'm printing my own invitations at home. Staples and Office Depot seemed to be just as expensive as ordering them from Minted or another wedding invite site. I purchased my paper from LCI and my envelopes from envelopemall.com. I got good deals on bothSmiley smile

My friend is doing watercolor designs, so I figured I'd probably save by having them printed at Office Max (120 save-the-dates and invitations) compared to what I'd have to pay for colored ink cartridges. My tiny printer that got me through college is not the most reliable either, haha!

Oh for sure! My wedding is very neutral colored and simple so my invitations are literally just black and whiteSmiley smile If I were doing full color, I'd probably opt out of the home printing also.
