Attention anxiety - bridal shower

Was/is anyone else really nervous about their bridal shower? I have never enjoyed having all of the attention on me, in any situation. My bridal shower is this Saturday (3/5) and I am SO nervous! I’m excited to see my family and friends, and I'm so grateful that my bridesmaids are throwing me a shower. But I am having some real anxiety thinking about everyone just sitting and watching me open gifts.

I’m going try hard to block it out and enjoy it, but I’m afraid my nerves will get the best of me. Anyone else feel the same way?

    I wish I could count on my MOH to help calm me down, but she'll be even more flustered than me. Lol My MOH is my younger sister (2 years younger than me) and she's been non-stop stressing over the shower.

    But I'll definitely try to direct the attention to my guests. Especially my little cousins, and FH's little cousins. Let the kids have allll of the attention. Lol

    What shower? :-( I honestly don't think anyone is going to throw one for me. My mom asked me yesterday "what are you going to do for your shower" I told her that I didn't know, because no one had mentioned anything at all about throwing me a shower. My mom was kinda shocked. Talk about awkward.

    I totally am nervous as well! And I'm normally more of an extrovert personality anyway. But the shower and wedding "all eyes on me" is giving me major anxiety. I plan to consume a fair amount of champagne. I'd say go that route if you're a drinker, and calm your nerves Smiley winking

    @BecomingBailey there will definitely be champagne that day. Lol Plenty of it!

    So glad to know I'm not alone! My nerves are just getting to me, especially since my shower is only 4 days away. Plus, FSIL has decided to come after some awkward drama that she caused. But I plan to block that out, and focus on my friends and family. Smiley smile
