Attachable train?

Diana , on October 7, 2019 at 1:50 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16
Ok so I bought my dress very early on. I did not want a veil from the very beginning.
My train also isn’t very long, so I wanted to ask you girls if I should consider an attachable train to add length or does it look fine as is? I’m getting so nervous!
if you know if any simple attachable trains, please let me know!

I don't have any experience with attachable trains, but I do agree that your dress is beautiful the way it is Smiley smile

I agree your dress is beautiful the way it is. Except for the "add a big tulle skirt over a sheath-style dress" type, I don't think I've ever seen a detachable train. Your dress has a lot of very pretty detail with the lace at the waist. I'd be concerned that unless a detachable train was designed and created by someone with a lot of talent (and potentially a lot of money), it will look like an out-of-place add-on and take away from the beauty of your dress. A simple cathedral length veil would probably be a LOT less expensive and a simpler option, if you want the look of more fabric as you walk down the aisle. Good luck!

I love your dress it is so elegant! I don’t think an attachable train is necessary, but if you would like one, go for it! I would definitely ask for recommendations on attachable trains from my bridal salon.

Aw it's so beautiful. Maybe you can get a cathedral veil to get the long train feel

I think it’s beautiful as is. If you think you want some length in the back for the ceremony have you considered a simple cathedral veil? It can clip in the lower part of your hair and you can remove it after the ceremony. I do think this looks good as is as well though.

That is very true! I’ve seen some pictures and it is usually added on for different style dresses than mine. I guess I’m just getting last minute jitters!

I think finding an attachable train will not result in something that will make your dress look better. It would have to be custom made so it would look like it went with the dress and wasn't just an after thought. One thing you could consider instead of a veil would be one of those bridal capes to give the train length

I have a detachable train!! I love it for a big bold look for the ceremony/pictures! I actually cut the whole train off my actual dress, because I don't like bustles. I'm obsessed with mine! I's tulle with lace details, but I've also seen plain tulle ones.
