Asking Step-Dad to Walk Me Down Aisle?

Absterx3, on July 21, 2017 at 2:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

So I am trying to think of a creative way to ask my step-dad to walk me down the aisle. FH and I have decided to elope, so it will be a super intimate "ceremony", but I still want to walk down the "aisle" to FH. I think my step-dad knows I will ask him, but neither of us are really good with words.

I want to gift him something asking him to walk me, but I cant seem to find anything that sticks. So far I like the idea of getting him a patch to go on his tie saying "(dad's name), will you walk me down the aisle? Love, (me)". However I would like to see what other ideas you guys have!

I am also not looking to spend a lot on this, as its such a small piece of the planning. Thanks!

Maybe you could design an e-card and send it to him? or give him a pocket square/ hankerchief, or cufflinks with your wedding colors and a note in the box. "This will look great on you when you walk me down the aisle"

You could always get him an watch and have it engraved. That is what I am doing as commitment pieces for my future step sons.

My stepdad loves puzzles so I think I'm going to make him one with a photo of us asking him to walk me down
