Hey everyone!

I live in San Antonio and my bridesmaids all live in WV (where my wedding will be). I want to ask them in a cute way (proposal) to be my bridesmaids!! Any suggestions??

Nothing too expensive please!

You can call them! really the proposals are cute, but not necessary. Give them a call and ask them and after they say yes you can send a cute note about how excited you are, can't imagine the day without them, etc.

I live in Kansas, when I asked them my bridesmaids were in Dallas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and my home town 2 hours away. I called them. Calling is way more personal then sending a cutesy proposal.

I sent them hand made cards. I just used some cardstock and wrote them a note about how special they are to me and how I'd love for them to be there with me. It probably cost like a dollar for all 4. They all just texted me to say yes.

I had the perfect "proposal" for my MOH.... ready? I sent her a text. Then we talked. I was excited; she was excited. It worked out perfectly. No one was put on the spot or felt pressured.

Since you want to do something, I'd just find some cute cards and send them.

My long distance BM's I was just like "i'm getting married...hey bridesmaid!!!" to my two best friends, who already knew they would be, and then my third friend I just asked her in person if she'd like to be a BM.

@TacoCat - I also sent my MOH a text to ask her (I live in AZ and ages in Philly). I told her I had a very important question I needed to ask her, and then quoted the marriage proposal line from Pink Panther 2 about marrying me even though it could cause me physical harm.. except I said "be my Maid of Honor" instead of "marry me."

OP - go with something that's unique to your friendship with each person. My MOH had told me years ago that if she ever met a guy and he ever came to me for advice in proposing to her and I approved of him, I was supposed to tell him to use the Pink Panther 2 proposal. If he didn't use that line in his proposal, she would know he didn't have my approval. So the quote had a lot of meaning and was perfect, even though all I did was send a text. You can do cute and meaningful without being elaborate.

I bought little gold bracelets that had a knot and put a card with them that said "I cannot tie the knot without you. Will you be my bridesmaid?" They loved them and will wear the bracelet for the wedding

What if you skype them? Or you can buy some See's chocolate bars and replace the outer wrapper with a homemade or home printed paper saying "will you be my bridesmaid?" Wrap it up and put a note over it saying "Skype/FaceTime me when received" so you can see her reaction to opening it! Or, you can send the chocolate bar and include a note telling her she's got time to decide and to call you when she's made a decision. I don't think it's any added pressure in comparison to a phone call--a phone call they have to answer you right away too! I think it's sweet that you want to do something special for your girls--I know they will appreciate the thought! You could also send a cute card and a ring pop, I've seen that done too. You've got a lot of cheap/DIY options. Smiley smile

I made went and got a box at michaels and embellished it with each of my maids initials. I put in nail polish and a little pedicure set. I also printed some free cute bridesmaid proposal cards and put them in. Two of my four girls I mailed them off and the other two I gave to them in person. It was perfect!

Skype? All of my girls knew they were in anyway, so I more or less just confirmed it. Smiley smile

Me: "Hey! You're all still in right?"

    Girls: "Yep!"

    Me: "Cool."

That's pretty much how it went down. Smiley laugh
