Asking for cruise honeymoon funds

We have booked our honeymoon cruise through carnival and can’t be more excited! The one thing we can’t seem to figure out how to do though is kindly ask for donations towards our cruise and when/ how to do it. Carnival has a website where you can direct your guests to contribute to your honeymoon but I am concerned people will be less inclined to do so because it will require them to do extra work opposed to bringing money in a card etc. but I do also want to make it clear that if they would rather bring a cash donation that is also appreciated. Also when should you mention it? With the invitations?

On my wedding website I mentioned my honeymoon fund. I said gifts are not necessary but appreciated. So people just gave me mostly cards with cash at the wedding because they saw I didn't register for items.

This is becoming very standard, actually.
DH and I had a traditional registry, and a honeymoon registry.
We had quite a few people use the honeymoon registry, as well as some who went the traditional card/check/cash route.
Just put it on the registry, but know you will get both.
(My pet peeve with checks is that many people don't bother to find out if anyone is changing or keeping their name, and just assume... and put the wrong thing down. Which makes it harder to deposit.)

You should put it on your wedding website and/or tell people via word of mouth when asked. Just like any other registry, it should never be mentioned on your invitations.

We are doing a Carnival Registry and a normal one. My fiances family likes to do gift card esque presents, while my side is more about physical presents.
