Asking Dad to Walk Me Down the Aisle

Hi All!

I want to ask my dad to walk me down the aisle in a special way (not just asking or a card.) Did anyone ask their Dad (or other significant person) to walk you down the aisle in a creative way and would be open to sharing?
I’m considering buying him shoes that he would wear with his tux that day and saying that he will need them because I’d like him to walk me down the aisle.
Thoughts on other ideas?

I honestly didn’t ask, lol. It was just assumed by both parties that he would be.

My sister & I have both been married before but our father didn’t walk either of us down the aisle. My dad TOLD me he was walking me down when I got married in April! It’s been his dream that he walked one of his daughter’s down the aisle. He never thought he would get the opportunity! I didn’t get a chance to even ask! Lol!

I just asked mine in person when he came to visit! It was a very touching moment and he cried and I cried and it was amazing! I plan on getting him a cute gift before the wedding to commemorate the day like personalized cuff links and a hanky

Didn’t even have to ask. He’d been planning the day he’d walk me down the aisle since birth lol. It was just mutually known by everyone that he was the one walking me down.
