Areas Rug as dance floor

I mean how hard packed is the sand? How rigid is the rug? I think it'd slowly sink into the sand unless you hide a platform under it.

I see it sinking and people’s heels getting caught on the edge on it. Can you do a platform?

Can you post a pic? I've never seen that. But I do think they probably had something under the rug that you just can't see

I have seeing this a lot but not so much as a dance floor. Since I had a destination wedding I follow a ton of vendors and I’m always seeing what they post. This is use mostly for a fashion statement. Some people use it to walk down the aisle when having the wedding at the beach for the sand. Others use it as a decor during cocktail hour. I personally have not seeing it use as a dance floor. I would think is too soft for it and can be easily moved which can cause someone to fall. Is not the same when using down the aisle than dancing and jumping. I would probably as the vendor and see.

This is what I mean that is being use mostly as a decor statement.

Super old thread but it sounds like a safety hazard. Sand is not stable to begin with.
