Are you playing music during your ceremony?

Joanna, on May 15, 2019 at 4:17 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6

I've heard the after the processional, some people play music during the ceremony. I'm wondering if people chose to do that, and if so what they chose to play Smiley smile

I’ve never been to a wedding where they played music during the ceremony and we don’t plan to do it either. Seems very distracting to me.

No music during the ceremony for us. I too agree that it can be distracting, even if its soft music being played.

We had music as a part of our ceremony, but not like, playing during the ceremony itself. We had music that was piped in for our unity portion (wine box ceremony) and for our parent gifts (our take on the "mothers' rose" thing). So it was like...snippets of soft music so it wasn't awkward dead silence when we did things that didn't involve words.

In church weddings I've attended, there's usually music for things like lighting candles, your typical church hymns, etc. So music can play a part, but I wouldn't have it as a background!

We had a violinist play classical music before the ceremony, during a piece of the ceremony (a rose ritual), then after the ceremony during photos.
