Are you doing a first look?

No first look for us. My photographer wants us to but I can’t wait to see my FH standing there with everyone else seeing me.

Hi! We actually eloped in June at the Marriage Hut in downtown San Diego! It was the BEST!!! Now we are having our celebrations with an intimate dinner and brunch in November. All the best to you all!!

We are doing a first look. Our wedding is only 5 hours. We are totally okay with seeing each other prior.

We're staying on a remote property for the wedding weekend, so we won't be separate for the night before. We decided to wake up together, have breakfast just the two of us (people say it's difficult to have little moments together alone on the day and we just want to have a quiet ritual together before all the madness!), then separate for getting ready until the afternoon. Then we will do a first look and some photos together before the ceremony so that we can enjoy more of our cocktail hour with our guests!

People who have done a first look says that it does not take away from the moment you walk down the aisle at all.

We did one for all the usual reasons, photos and for timing's sake. We wanted to spend cocktail hour and dinner actually spending time with our guests (and, you know, eating, LOL). Husband didn't have a huge emotional reaction when he saw me -- he was already tired and nervous by then, but it was sweet nonetheless.

We will not be doing a first look - our aisle is so long that I've actually asked the best man to turn my fiancé around before I start coming down, and then to turn him back around as I'm halfway down. I want that man to CRY!

No- I want the reaction when he sees me for the first time when I come down the aisle.

We have made the choice to wait on the first look (for the altar), instead we are choosing to do our exchanges of vows before the ceremony. Like you know not facing each other, maybe hiding behind a door, but still have the privacy to exchange our sentimental vows to ourselves instead of in front of everybody else. Weddings are emotional and very nerve wrecking already so why not do something for each other away from the public eye to easy some stress? 🤗

We did not do a first look and when I tell you seeing each other for the first time when I was walking down the aisle was the best decision we made because it was just beautiful. The pictures, videos and memories of that moment was everything.
