Are two guest books okay?? : Birthday/Anniversary Calendar & Wooden Sign

Aubrey, on March 29, 2017 at 11:53 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

Hi guys-

So I have toying with the idea of having two guest books. I wanted to do one of those "sign your name on your birthday/anniversary" calendars, and then another wooden sign to hang on our wall. I really want something to hang up and always have- but I'm also HORRIBLE at remembering peoples birthdays and would love to have a big master list. Do you think this would be okay??

I think that's a cool idea. Kill two birds with one stone.

You could have the birthday thing at the reception and the sign at the ceremony! We are having some type of sign at our ceremony and then have people highlight and sign their favorite bible verse at the reception!

I don't really think a "sign your birthday/anniversary" thing is appropriate for a wedding. But woah, neither is a Bible verse.

I think it's fine, have the wooden one at the wedding and calendar one at the reception since it's a more fun idea.

I think that's a cool idea but it's hard enough for people to find and sign the guest book. It's like they don't want to wait in the line and never go back to sign it. I'm still having friends sign our guest book when they come over and we only had 40 guests!

I think the calendar could be a good way for people to still sign and leave a message for the couple in case they aren't religious and may not have a favorite bible verse to highlight.

Could you request that guests include their birthday with their wedding RSVP? That way you'll collect the information without needing to add clutter to the reception.

If you do the birthday one just make sure there's enough room in case there are duplicates! Not sure how many people you are having but better to be safe than sorry!

@A.L. - Why is that not appropriate for a wedding? If they are having a Catholic/Christian wedding it's fine.

It actually sounds like a really nice idea @Karie

ETA: If you don't agree with Religon... then don't sign it. Simple as that.

No need to throw shade at the couple.
