Are people already asking you when you're having children?

I used to get ask when I'm getting married and suddenly people are asking when we're having children. I find this highly invasive and annoying. Even if it is family asking. I guess it's how it's asked, like if we were one on one having conversation and it was somehow worked into conversation that's...

I guess it's how it's asked, like if we were one on one having conversation and it was somehow worked into conversation that's different...but I've had his family members ask straight out in front of the crowd when we're having kids.

I think maybe within a year of marriage but it's really not anyone's business. Anyone feel the same way? I don't know how to respond because I don't feel they deserve to know what my plan is. What if I don't want kids, what if I've been having a hard time, what if I can't? Ya know?

I LOVE this idea!!! Mine will also include questions about changing my name. Maybe I’ll pay off my student loans! 🤣

Yes! People were asking us at our wedding when we'd be having our first baby! When my husband and I gave our speech thanking guests for coming at the reception my husband said " and for those who've already asked and for those who plan on asking tonight or in the near future, we're planning on kids in a year or two - pass that information around and stop asking us", lol. Everyone busted out laughing but it stopped people from asking us after that, lol.

I flat out tell them "We aren't having any and we aren't changing our minds" and look at them blankly until they fill the silent void in conversation or change the subject. Don't get me wrong, my uterus still melts every time I see my FH hold a tiny one. I have a momentary lapse of decision; I breathe through it then it passes. Thinking of the cons helps A LOT. It is no ones business.

My mother in law has made a few snide comments about us not having children yet, I made it clear that it's none of nobody's business we'll have kids when we are good and ready, and she hasn't made a peep about it since. I hate when people put their 2 sense in and try and force you to have kids asap
