Are Kids Allowed At David's Bridal?

Amanda, on April 5, 2017 at 9:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

My friend wants to go with me but she would likely need that bring one if her children with her. Is that allowed? She does behave and listens. Her Husband is keeping the baby at home with him but wants to bring her girl with us. I'm not a fan of it but I don't mind if it's allowed. I wish her Husband would watch her but it seems like it's I'll take one child and you take one child. I told her that I didn't know if kids were allowed but I'll ask David's Bridal if they are allowed. I'm not one to lie about that just to get her to not bring her. Any ideas?

Yes. They're allowed. I would call to make sure they have room if you have an appointment. But I called my local one, and was told children weren't an issue.

I don't mind but honestly I prefer her to not bring children. I don't want to hurt her feelings.Smiley sad I'm not a kid type person so I'm award around kids I feel. I feel like it'll be boring for her but she said she'll sit and be good I didn't mention it being a problem she simply said I'll bring her if you don't mind she'll sit and be good.

3 yo is a tough time though. They might be running around while you try dresses and your friend my not give you full attention.

I have my FSIL come with me and she had my nieces, it was nice to have them there ( I adore them) but in the end it made me more anxious than anything. I was trying to get some opinion and attention but I had to share and left empty handed.

Be prepared for that scenario if you don't want to ask her to leave the kids home.

That's how I'm feeling Pbiazinha but I don't want to hurt her feelings. Her Husband (I care for him) but he is one that thinks if he has to watch a child then she does as well. So honestly I feel that's why she asked to bring her girl with us. I don't think she wants to ask him to watch two children since it's both of their days off. But it's only for a couple of hours he should offer but I don't think he will. He likes to stay home and play games which is easier to watch two children than it is to watch one at a David's Bridal.

We went there looking for bridesmaid gowns, for my sister's wedding, and we couldn't wait to get out of there. It was a really big store, but we were trying on gowns, with 2 other bridal parties, and a bunch of kids were running around. There were also some pre-teen boys hanging around the dressing rooms. Nope!

I don't see why not. One of my bridesmaids brought her two kids into Alfred Angelo when she tried on her dress.

Hi, I can't speak to David's Bridal, but I thought I might offer some suggestions for your concerns around her daughter being there.

Hopefully, her mother knows her well enough to bring things to occupy her, but maybe you can interact (and even suggest that her mother prep her for "princess/goddess/fairy/superhero" dress shopping....if she's into princesses) with her before the appointment. Share that you're looking for a dress for your special day, and would love for her thoughts on choosing a dress that make you look like a princess (or whatever she may be into).

ETA: superhero (because little girls and brides can be superheros too)

Ask for her thoughts and ideas. Kids can be challenging, but maybe you and her mom can engage her to make it fun for all of you.

They are definitely allowed, when we shopped for BM's dresses there my god daughter came with us (7) and we let her try on a bunch of dresses with us to keep her entertained and they didn't care at all
