So I'm really struggling with the idea of wedding favors. Any wedding I've ever been to you see the favors and think "aww thats cute" then forget about it, people dont take them home, or use them and it feels like a waste to me. So I'm really struggling with the idea of wedding favors. Any wedding I've ever been to you see the favors and think "aww thats cute" then forget about it, people dont take them home, or use them and it feels like a waste to me. Do you feel like you have to have wedding favors or is it something you can skip out on and people wont notice?

If you think its a must, give me your cheapest ideas!!!

The only idea I have right now are cute little bottles of hand sanitizer that say " Spread Love not Germs." I feel its budget friendly, relevant and useful.

Thoughts??

Favors are completely optional. I'd do either edible favors or no favors, but you really don't need them to begin with anyway

    Totally unnecessary.
If you are looking to save money, proposal gifts are a recent fad and not at all necessary. People can bring theeir own robes, or leggings and a button down shirt, if getti g ready as a group. Many people throw out robes and outfits from the bride, and anything that says anything about the wedding along with it. And jewelry, often a waste, since though it may go with your dress it may not be at all their taste, or go with things they wear. It is a shame to come home from a wedding and throw away $70 or more of a bride's gifts. Stick to one gift, at the end and shop like it is the person's birthday, no group things. Cutting favor s and unnecessary, nontraditional gifts can save you a budle. Except for pictures after the wedding, gifts to parents or other family members are not traditional either. The wedding industry pushes all these things for their sales. The latest on WW is lists of gifts for your sister in law. Between your favors and unnecessary gifts, you can save a thousand to spend on something else you need or want.

We are doing cookie sandwiches in little cellophane bags for people to take. We can freeze and thaw the left ones as needed after the wedding so they dont go to waste.

I don’t think favors are necessary, but we’re having them. We have rosemary infused olive oil and we’re also providing masks and mini hand sanitizers. The masks will be mandatory during our indoor ceremony and while not eating so I feel like we should provide them, and who doesn’t like free hand sanitizer these days. The olive oil is kind of pricey, but I thought it would be nice since it’s made by our venue and it would definitely be used. Our guest count of 50-55 is small enough for it to fit in our budget, but if it was larger we would skip it.
