Are Charger Plates Necessary?

We aren't having chargers. Guests don't care and it's just another hit to your budget!

Unnecessary but if you want them talk to your caterers. We are renting ours for $50 for 120 people from them.

They are completely unnecessary. It's all for looks bc they should be removed before dinner is served.

What I have read according to vendors on Instagram is that they are supposed to protect the fancy tablecloth instead of a placemat so they are larger than the dinner plates.

Agreed, not needed. Plus typically your table set up will already have so much on it what with a plate setting, silverware, cups and glasses, centerpieces, candles, names cards, if used, and the list can go on. I was really looking into them but then I thought what the heck am I going to do with all of the plates after and in all honesty I just couldn't justify spending what it would have cost to have them. I still have people tell me how beautiful everything was at our wedding and mostly what everyone cared about was having good food, drinks and a good time together so we really focused on those items and our venue was pretty already so we didn't need to add much.

I honestly find them a bit annoying! So I’m not having them.

We didn’t have them & our tables looked stunning without them!
