Are Cake Toppers Necessary?

I think roses would be beautiful! I HATE toppers but a lot of people are in love with them! I think It's a personality thing. (David Tutera says they're BAD though,,just a side note)

I've seen a ton of wedding cakes with flowers on top rather than a cake topper. I'm starting to wonder if that is the new norm actually. I will be having a bride and groom cake topper though

Do whatever you want my dear. Nothing is off limits at weddings anymore... and really flowers on top isn't that strange. It's becoming very common. Unless you have a topper in mind, flowers would be gorgeous, real or sugar.

You definitely don't need a cake topper -- do whatever you want! I also think roses would be fab.

All that is 'necessary' is a bride, groom, officiant, and wedding license. Keep that firmly in mind, and you will be much less stressed and save a bunch of money. Flowers sound lovely to me!

This was our cake. I hate toppers and like the look of roses.

I feel like flowers are timeless, but I am considering a Rhinestone "C" instead.

Cake toppers aren't necessary. I'm not a big fan of them personally.

We had a "couture" cake, and any topper would have ruined the look of the cake.

We originally ordered a fancy customized topper that was going to be a keepsake and displayed in our home but the artist on etsy flaked out. This is what our cake designer made.

I might do silk flowers on top and a monogram, not sure about that. BUT We both like a fountain in the cake!, dated I know but we love it

Definitely no need for a topper! I'm not having one, I personally chose to have fondant flowers on the top tier. It's whatever you prefer

We just got an M from hobby lobby..I don't love toppers but I'm also not having flowers on the cake
