Okay, so my mom and dad got married in the early 90's and ivory and forest green balloon arches everywhere - not what I am going for. I want simple WHITE balloons. LARGE balloons hanging from the ceiling, maybe some smaller ones scattered around by the gift table... What is everyone's take on...

I want simple WHITE balloons. LARGE balloons hanging from the ceiling, maybe some smaller ones scattered around by the gift table... What is everyone's take on balloons?

A friend of mine had balloons and it looked very nice! Added a little interest to the room since her décor was minimal.

My thoughts exactly! We're having all kinds of balloons - heart shapes, round ones, and foil ones. We're blowing a bunch up in bundles in our theme colors to place in corners and I found some on Wish that were shaped like love and wedding-themed items (a wedding dress, a suit, a little car that says "just married", one that spells the word "love" in rose gold, etc.). We're just putting them around our reception and people can take them if they want. I know the kids will LOVE them!! Balloons are for parties and wedding receptions are big parties! They're the perfect time and place for balloons!

I personally love the idea of balloons as part of the wedding decor! Yes, they can drift into cheesy territory, but if done right, I find them to be super pretty and fun.
I follow @acharmingfete on Instagram and noticed that balloons are popping up quite a bit in their weddings and showers.
