Hi Karen! Congratulations on your wedding! I wanted to know if I could ask you a couple of questions about your ceremony? I see that you had your ceremony at the DC War Memorial, which is where I will be having my ceremony in May. Did you have any trouble getting chairs to the ceremony? I know that parking is very limited so how did you work that out?

Hi! Thank you. So I found a rental company to bring chairs to the location. They were late even though I warned them about cherry blossom traffic and road closures. There is no parking but there is a spot where they can unload and they had to carry the chairs to the memorial on a dolly. I had about 25 chairs. The lateness stressed me out a bit. I warned my guest about the parking situation. They carpooled and found parking near the basin parking which is a short walk but not bad on a nice day. It’s near the sand volley ball pit.

It is called Brooke rental in Arlington VA. They are pretty small but they did it and helped to load it back up. The wedding itself didn’t take long so I suggested that they would drive around to “wait “ for it to end or stay close by to avoid traffic and being late to pick up.
