Appy Couple?

Brianna, on January 18, 2017 at 4:39 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

Has anyone used Appy Couple? My fiancé and I want to send one paper STD/ invitation a year in advance (destination-ish wedding), and thought this website/app would help to replace all that extra stationery. Thoughts? Is it okay to just send the invitation earlier and include website/app info.? The website/app will have accommodation, direction, etc. info. AND the ability to RSVP. Please share your thoughts!

Hi Brianna! The best way to handle this is to send a save the date to your wedding! Save the dates are typically sent 6-8 months in advance, but I've also received plenty up to a year in advance. Include a link to your wedding website on your save the date, and you can add all of the necessary information there (accommodations, travel info, directions, RSVP options, event info, etc.)

You can also do all of this with a WeddingWire website Smiley smile Just click on Planning Tools -> Wedding Website to start creating your free website!

I LOVE AppyCouple. I will admit, it isn't the most intuitive to set up, but I'm very happy with the tools.

I haven't sent invitations to my guests yet, but I'm getting my website ready for it and I've done a few "test" RSVPs (today actually, haha). It seems pretty intuitive from the guest standpoint.

I liked the designs on Appy Couple a lot more...and since I was saving money on postage/inserts by having my guests RSVP online, it was in my budget to splurge on the website more.

I looked into Wedding Wire, The Knot, Minted and a couple other wedding websites. I can't remember what I hated about the other ones, but I haven't been disappointed with Appy Couple at all.

That all sounds like what I had expected! Are you still sending paper Save-the-Dates and/or invitations? I read online that depending on the design you select, Appy Couple allows for free printing - is this true?

I like appycouple, but I'm using it as a website not an app. I just think the website is prettier and better than the free ones. We are still doing paper STDs and invites though.

I'm not ordering invitations through Appy Couple, I designed my own. And I'm not doing STDs...waste of money and locks you into a guest list much sooner.

If you don't want to order from Appy Couple, I'd find invitations you like and then use an Appy Couple design that complements it best. That's what I'm doing.
