Apple Cider Vinegar Toner?

Tasia, on June 9, 2014 at 3:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17

Has anyone tried apple cider vinegar as toner? I recently heard from a friend that she used apple cider vinegar as a toner after washing her face and before applying lotion in the weeks approaching her wedding and she said her face has never been clearer.

Just wondering if anyone's tried it. I'm going to - my wedding is a little less than 6 weeks away, so if my face hates it or freaks out, it'll still have plenty of time to get back to normal before the wedding. I really don't have that much acne, just a few small blemishes here and there.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has tried it and I will update you on my progress! If this stuff works, I want all brides to know about it! If any of you wanted to try it with me, just dilute the apple cider vinegar 50/50 with water and apply using a cotton ball. Smiley smile

I've used apple cider vinegar to remove skin tags- soak a cotton ball in it, tape it to the skin tag, and give it a day or two. It literally disintegrates the skin tag because it's acidic. That makes me a bit leery of using it as a toner, even if it is diluted. But then, I have sensitive skin so I have to be careful. Let us know if it works!

Its pretty good but whatever you do DONT APPLY IT STRAIGHT TO YOUR FACE!! Omg you will chemically burn yourself! Trust me! But yea as long as ypu dilute it, its awesome! It acts as a mini chemical peel so use it every other day.

Yes, my friend uses ACV as a toner and her skin looks amazing. It just stinks though!

I've been using witch hazel as a toner and so far, I've liked it better than any toners I've ever bought. It keeps my face clear and fresh.

I read that it naturally exfoliates your skin since it is acidic, so it should make it softer and just feel better in general! Also read that you can dilute it further depending on how sensitive your skin is. I am starting to use it tonight, will update in a day or two. Smiley smile

This is something I may try. I use apple cider vinegar to clean out our chinchilla cages. I have it mixed with water (50/50 solution). May have to start using it on my face.

I'm going to try this starting tonight. I have a bottle of Braggs at home but never heard of using it as a toner. Thanks for sharing, and please keep us updated on your progress!

I've used a clay mask that is combined with apple cider vinegar. I've never heard of it as a toner, but I'll try anything for clear skin! Vinegar has a ton of medicinal properties, so this doesn't sound far fetched.

I use 50/50 Olive Oil and Castol Oil, applied with a cotton ball. Then followed with 50/50 Apple Cider Vinegar and Water, applied with a cotton ball.

And if you have pets apply the same 50/50 blend on a cotton ball to kill eat mites in about 1-2 days. You can use vinegar for nearly everything.

I use it as a toner, consistently and I love it! I usually do a 1:4 ratio ACV to water because I have sensitive skin but the girl who turned me on to it does a 1:2 ratio. It's awesome! I've also used ACV once every other week on my hair as a rinse to clear out product.

    I'm a big hippie, apparently.

I think I may try this too! I have really dry skin, and have a hard time finding products that clear away the dead skin while still moisturizing and not being too harsh. I hate the smell of vinegar though, it makes me gag. But if it works, it would be worth it!

Tried it for the first time last night and also this morning. I really like it so far! I don't notice the smell of the vinegar after I apply it. I also am using the toner on my upper back/shoulders where I can reach, the back of my neck, and my chest since I want that skin to look its best too, especially with a strapless dress. I don't really have any breakouts in any of those areas, but I would like to prevent any stress-related breakouts in these upcoming weeks and I want my skin to look its very best, so it can't hurt!

Apple Cider Vinegar as a face toner is the best ever. honestly. I have acne prone skin and have been using Clinique's Acne Solutions toner for years... and about six months ago I gave ACV a try instead. It's 10000x more effective and way cheaper and more natural. I used to do 50/50 water and ACV but now I do about 75% ACV/ 25% water. I used to only use it at night and now I use it in the morning too. My skin has never been clearer. I use Braggs... with the mother is important apparently.
