I like them both for different things! I definitely spend infinitely more time on weddingwire and I love the forums here. I used the knot for our wedding website... mostly because I had already started it and put effort into it before I realized weddingwire existed, and then I didn't want to have to start over lol. But I liked our website and online RSVP on the knot!

I personally like WeddingWire- I feel like TheKnot is trying to sell you a magazine subscription instead of helping you plan.

Wedding wire! Mostly because I enjoy the forums. The knot does have slightly more vendor options but they’re both good for that.

I like the forums on weddingwire, but prefer Zola for my website and registry.

I like the WW because of the forums, I have planned everything on WW. The knot I like for the magazine. I used Zola for our website, and for people to RSVP.

Depends upon what you use them for. I use the Knot for my guest address collecting and guest list. They streamline the process and don't require guests to fill out a lot of unnecessary info. It's also very easy to export the list and send it to label printing websites so you can have your guest's mailing address labels made.

I use WW for the forums and my wedding website. It's easy to connect my Amazon registry. I also use WW for my budget.

I like The Knot for website, timeline, app, etc. I didn't like the WW app when I 1st got engaged (probably had updates since then) so I really only use the WW forum, which is way better.

Wedding wire is good for forums and articles so I open the app at least 3x a day. The knot had better checklists and budget tools and guest manager. Vendors is similar on both. But I use Zola for website and cash registries. I'm using minted for STDs and invitations because I got 2 $100 off coupons.

I started off using the knot for everything but forums, which are infinitely better on WW. I had originally wanted to use the knot for my wedding website as I prefer the domain, but I found there weren't really any designs I like. I switched to WW, which had one I LOVE and bought a personal domain name which redirects to the WW website.
    The knot: theknot.com/us/bryanandmarie
    WW: weddingwire.us/website/bryanandmarie
    Vs. bryanandmarie.com
This is such a picky little detail but tbh made a big difference to me

    I use both.
Here is great for forums, and the venue search allowed me to filter by date. Also, here I can customize my checklist with my own personal additions (Knot does not).

I find the Knot's budget and checklist a little more detailed and workable, as well as their website builder. Their forums are dead and awful. (I've gone into the tech forum multiple times and been ignored EVERY TIME.)

I know a lot of my friends have avoided both of these and used smaller wedding websites.

Wedding Wire by far. I'm using it to plan my vow renewal. I used The Knot when I got married in 2015. Never again!!! The resources are more limited and less useful but also the community on TK seems to be very judgmental and toxic. So far, I have not found anyone like that on WW.

Depends what you’re using it for.
I found more vendors via wedding wire (just think they have better resources for my area), but I preferred the Knot to host the website I created for my guests. Ultimately I used both apps

I also found both to have somewhat different timelines for planning and to cross reference both instead of swearing by one was helpful to me

I prefer WW for their online RSVP. The Knot requires your guest to put in their name exactly as you input it. So, if you entered Jonathan Smith instead of John Smith your guest will need to know that in order to find his name to RSVP. On the other side, WW allows your guests to search by partial names or last name only. So John Smith would only need to search for Smith to pull up him and his guest/household for him to input his RSVP. Definitely much more user/guest friendly. I also liked their tool where you could arrange your seating chart based off of who RSVPd "yes". I don't know if The Knot has this or not, but I really liked WW's tool.
