Yesterday me and FH picked our apartment and Friday we are holding our spot !! Since we aren’t having a “wedding “ anymore we are just going to the courthouse I’m having to buy all the things we need bc this is me and FH first place together . My first apartment period lol. Anyway give me any ideas you guys have on Neccessities and must haves . Also if you guys know any stores with discounts that would be great !! I have 2 months to get it all together 😍😍

When we got our first apartment we went to Walmart and BB&B and got everything we needed.

I would definitely google "first apartment checklist". This includes all kinds of things you don't realize you don't have until you need it lol. My big one was a can opener Also EXTENSION CORDS!

We got our stuff at walmart when we first moved in together and now we are using our wedding shower to do some upgrading. I would definitely look at Bed Bath and Beyond as well as Target they usually always have sales going on, and with Labor Day this weekend you may find some good sales

We actually got our living room and dining room sets from Costco. We already had the bed and found the cutest set of dishes at the Corelle outlet. The thing to make sure you get is cleaning supplies, all of them. You need paper towels, floor cleaner, windex, grease cleaner, toilet cleaner and brush, all the soaps, mops, broom, vacuum, trash cans and bags, the works. When I moved into my first place I forgot one or two of these things and had to keep making return trips. Congratulations and good luck!

If you're still having a reception after the courthouse ceremony (some people do), you can totally have a registry set up for all of your apartment living needs!

If you are bargain shopping, try Goodwill. I have seen people get amazing stuff there. You can also check for a local online yard sale type app eg. 5miles and OfferUP. When I moved in with my FH we both sold a ton of stuff on there, including furniture and mattresses. Good luck!

I got 100% of my furniture from thrifting and cruising craigslist when I got my first "from scratch" place 3 years ago. I then went to Big Lots to get the rest. They have good deals on pots/ pans sets, full dish sets, etc.

Contrary to what you may think you DO need a microwave.
Wood floors or not you DO need a vacuum.
