Anyone Wear a Bridal Shawl

Daughter was truly hoping she wouldn't need any kind of shawl or wrap for her January wedding (and, she didn't, it was 78 degrees...) but she figured she better be ready, just in case. She considered both a dark green shawl, which is what she got the BMs to match their dresses, and ivory to match hers. She tried both and went with the ivory because she felt like the green was too bold. If she had to wear a wrap, she wanted it to blend in and be less noticeable.

I wore an ivory shawl to match my dress (which is very similar to yours). I’d share pictures, but I don’t have any yet ☹️. My MOHs had gold shawls. It was around 50 degrees for us with a slight breeze and my husband was complaining about the cold, but honestly I didn’t really feel it lol!

I am hoping I won't need one either, I want to be able to show off my dress as much as possible haha. But like your daughter, I'd rather have an extra shawl for other occasions than be cold on my big day. Sounds like I should consider the ivory, just wasn't sure if I should add a splash of color or something. But I think you're right, too much color might come off too bold. Thank you for the reply!

Thank you for the reply! Do you have a link of your shawl? I'd like to have one just in case but also want it to match the level of formality of my dress. Sounds like pairing my dress with ivory is the best bet!
