Anyone walking down the aisle to a song with lyrics?

Are the lyrics crucial? Maybe just instrumental version?

I don't think the instrumental version would sound that great and I also haven't been able to find it. It's surprisingly hard to find the instrumental version of less traditional songs.

Maybe I should just save the song for our first dance.

Find a version on youtube of a cover. I will be doing many of those things for the ceremony portion (I think).

But first dance is also a great idea.

Have you talked to your DJ/whoever is in charge of music at the ceremony? Mine is spacing speakers and doing sound checks to make sure my song and lyrics are clear. He's even angling speakers as I process so that it follows me down the aisle.

I would hire a musician if you want the instrumental.

My wedding is outdoors. My BP is walking down to instrumental music and I am walking down to the lyrical version of "A thousand years." My DJ is incredibly experienced. He's doing our ceremony music. I told him my plans and he said it shouldn't be an issue. If it's set up correctly then it should be fine!

I'm a sucker for lyrics so we won't really be using any instrumental stuff. I'm actually having the bridal party walk to found a heart so yes yes yes lyrics!

We wanted to walk to "All I Want Is You" by Barry Louis Polisar. But we planned the ceremony in a place where music won't be feasible, so we'll have to use it somewhere else in the wedding.

@LoveinDC- I hadn't even thought about asking my DJ what is possible. I should probably do that and maybe that will help with my answer.

I'm planning on walking down the aisle to Today I Met the Boy I'm Going to Marry. It fits the theme of my wedding-vintage romance. I'm using the regular ole song!

I am about 80% sure I will be walking down the aisle to "Look at Me" by Carrie Underwood. FH would prefer I walk down to the "regular" bridal chorus, because, in his words, it's simple and easy. We'll see.
