Anyone using Balloon Decorations?????

IMO balloons are for parties not weddings! Even outside to point people in the direction just bothers. As long as my mom has been a wedding coordinator I have yet to see her allow a bride to use balloons. but everyone has their own likes and wants

If anyone is going to release balloons, be sure to get the biodegradable ones.

Balloons belong at junior high school dances and children's birthday parties, not a wedding.

I'm sorry, but they never look elegant and super classy. They look juvenille and cheap.

I'm not sure i like the balloons but i must say you dont need flowers for a center piece. here are 2 simple pretty ones and like Tanza has allergies one of these the flower is submerged in water so it shouldn't affect too much. The other one, you dont need the petals. beads or something would be just fine. =) hope this helped

I think balloons look more like a party than a wedding. I just don't see balloons as being elegant. Nor do they go with a tropical them. You should talk to your wedding planner and explain your vision clearly. It seems like she's missing something.

This is the center piece I want. Those white balloons are pretty but a lot olf the balloon arrangements I see are birthday party looking.

As a general rule I like balloons better for kids birthdays, not weddings. I have seen very few pics of balloon centerpieces that I don't think look cheesy (no offence to anyone using balloons, this is just my opinion...)

Lol.... those look like 70's and 80's pictures. I think that the balloons is kind of dated. I LOVE those umbrellas and wine glasses very cute. I would put just one or 2 in the middle of the table then little light blue beads in the bottom of the glass like water and then you said something about sprinkling something around them on the table? I think that would be so cute!!!

If you like balloons go for it. Just keep in mind that they can be over done. I like this idea and it's a balloon theme. I think you just have to be careful how you place them because they can end up looking bulky.

What about a balloon drop? My wedding is NYE and was hoping it wouldn't look like a birthday party if I dropped silver and white ones at midnight

I'm honestly with you on not being able to get a mental picture of the ballon idea in your head. I, for the life of me, can't imagine it. I can only see kid, birthday, not wedding.

I was going to use Balloons (and make inspired by Disney's Movie Up type of a feel) but our Venue doesn't allow them so we're going with Pinwheels instead. Balloonsaregreat and there are so many designs that can be done with them for Centerpieces & Decor.
