Anyone tried The Adventure Challenge - Couples Edition

I got it for my FH as part of his Christmas present, we love it! We got a Fuji instax camera to go with it so we can take photos for the dates. We’ve done a handful of dates so far and we really enjoy them!

My fiance and I also are always looking out for fun things to do together - one thing we started doing recently are murder mystery boxes. It's a once-per-month subscription box where you get a bunch of clues and such, and need to figure out the solution. They take anywhere from 1-4 hours to complete, and are actually fairly challenging! We found those to be a lot of fun to work on together.

View Quoted Comment Just the book, we got the camera separately because it was a better deal. We’ve only done a few so far, one was having an outdoor movie night (blankets + pillows outside to watch a movie on the laptop), my favorite was a exercise where you walk holding hands and being completely silent for a certain amount of time and then you take turns being the only one allowed to speak and then after you can talk about how the silence felt. There are more complex ones that we haven’t gotten to yet but each date has a little key to show you how long it’ll take, how much money it’ll cost, if you need to shop for any supplies, where you need to go, etc so it’s helpful for planning!

Oh yes. I was interested in doing this at some point with my FH. We kinda get into ruts and just go out to eat (which I don't mind because we are both foodies) but just having different things to do together would be great

I’m not sure you’ll remember, can you you repost this in fall? Could be a GREAT holiday gift. Covid wrecked a lot of our fun dates and travel adventures. Can’t wait to go out and do more later this year and 2022!

Definitely get it! I got just the book since the camera doesn’t come with batteries or film. We have done one and it’s so creative with ideas you’re never think to do. Our first date was to do taste testing blinds folded. Very interesting!

It's cute, but when I looked at the description it said an example date might be "recreating your grandparents' first date" - I never met any of my grandparents, and none of his living grandparents had great relationships to where he'd feel comfortable asking them about their first date. It may just be an example, but that sort of sets the tone as something that really wouldn't suit more unique family situations like ours.

I haven't tried this out, but I'm definitely going to consider starting It seems like a fun and creative way to make more memories.
