Anyone thinking of sewing belt to dress?

I'm doing this with mine. Mine has a lace up back and I got a sash with it. I had the option to have the bow in back or have it sewn on and you would still see the lace up. It can certainly be done. I think it's personal preference, but I didn't want a big bow in the back either . It also does look sleeker and like it's part of the dress.

I prefer the sewn on look as well. At first, I didn't want to do it because I thought I might want to wear the belt with another dress, but then I realized how unlikely that is.

Definitely getting mine sewn on so I don't have a big bow covering up the back of my dress. As soon as I get it done I will post a picture for you

If I were to have a belt I most definitely would sew it on too. I HATE the bows!

My grandmother is making my belt and I am putting closures on it similar to a bra closure (I'm sorry I don't know the technical name for that clasp) because I do not want a bow nor a long sash on my dress!
