DO NOT BUY FROM DH GATE!!!!!! (that needed to be yelled)

I agree with JRae. DH Gate is one of those places in China that make the dresses very cheap - but they also look very cheap when they arrive! You will waste your money. Instead, you might be pleasantly surprised that a local seamstress could make that exact dress for you to fit you perfectly and the cost is very reasonable. That's what I have decided to do for my wedding dress. My BMs and I are going to San Francisco in May to pick out the fabrics for my dress and then I'm working with a local dress shop to custom design a wedding dress that is flattering and exactly the way I want it. All very reasonably priced.

@JRae thanks for that save! I've seen pictures of it all over the internet but can't seem to find anywhere legitimate to buy it/try it on. I'll look on Aliexpress!

@earias I don't know the first thing about buying fabric, but that might be worth a try!

From the other thread, the designer is "IMC Ilona Markina Cohen" and you can find her work on FB or insta, she's a custom designer from Israel.

Ali express is another site that ships from China, so I would be wary of them too OP

@Kayla: I'm like you - I didn't know either until I talked with the dressmaker. She measured me, viewed my inspiration pictures and designed a style that would suit my body the best (I'm an apple shape so sometimes the dress can make me look pregnant if the waist is not just right). We then talked about different fabrics, how they feel, how they lay on the body, etc. and then she gave me a shopping list of exactly what to look for and how much to buy. The cost is as much as I want to spend on the fabric plus her reasonable hourly rate. My BMs and I have a date to spend the day in S.F. together (only about 1.5 hour away) and get to share the making of my dress together as far as picking out fabrics go, etc. Plus, what I really love about it, she can build the bra right into the dress and of course no alterations! :-)

I loved this dress too but am glad I didn't pursue it.
