Just curious about your experiences and the regulations in your state.

We're getting married July 18 in Oregon. Almost every county here is in phase 1 and in two weeks (if everything goes accordingly) we'll be in phase 2, which could allow 100 person gatherings. It's looking pretty hopeful that this will be the case by mid June, so we're going to have our regular wedding and downsize from 150 guests we had originally. Our venue is making sure that there are social distancing and health measures in place for our wedding and reception as well.

Yay! I’m glad yours is looking good. Mine is July 25 and I’m trying to hold out postponing. In Illinois, Our phase 4 only allows 50 people gatherings which is terrible compared to other states phases Smiley sad and we are entering phase 3 this weekend. I feel as long as some measures for safety are followed I don’t see the problem! I’d certainly downsize my guest list if it meant I could have my wedding at all.

I would hold out maybe another couple weeks, but if I were you, I would contact the venue and ask about holding another date just in case. My venue allowed me to keep the date this summer and then just hold a date next summer just in case.

We’re set to be married 9-12. In Ohio, we are able to have weddings of 300 starting June 1 as long as there are no more than ten to a table and tables are 6 feet apart. So I think we should be okay come September, and are moving forward as planned!

August 29 in southeastern PA, and I am not postponing. I sent out all 100 invitations last week to the 166 people and already getting RSVP's. Until the venue tells me absolutely not, I am moving forward with everything.

We already postponed once, from May to August, and we are not postponing again. The wedding is taking place in Wisconsin and currently our venue doesn’t have restrictions in terms of how many guests we can have, so we are inviting everyone on our list and they can decide what is best for them with absolutely no hard feelings on our end if they decline. After already extending the engagement once and being well into our 30s, we just want to move beyond the wedding at this point. We luckily chose a large venue where we can spread things out and take some extra precautions, but we’re praying that the day ends up as beautiful as we had always hoped it would be.

Wow, our phase 2 in NC is still only allowing 25 gathered outside.

My wedding is not until October 24, so I’m still thinking we’ll be opened up much more by then though.

My wedding is in 9 days! June 6! We have downsized to extreme measures. We are only expecting immediate family to the ceremony and postponing reception for a later date.

We got married may 16th in NJ. We only postponed by a week. We went from 92guests to 7 guests. We went from having it at a cute country chic venue to an outside garden n reception at our apartment. A lot of additional planning and adjustment went into it, but I wouldn't change how it turned out. It made it more intimate and personal.

We are June 13 ours was a small wedding anyway in N.C. we did cancel our venue just because we didn’t know what would happen by June and plus we got all of our money back besides the deposit. I am 16 days away and I am ready for all the planning to be over lol 😂 at first it was fun now I’m just over it.

We have changed our plans here in CT to a drive-in wedding. I am thankfully marrying into a farm family with a field to use for parking. Everyone is staying in their cars for now, Connecticut phase 2 i think allows gatherings of 50 by June 20th (our wedding date), but we have 120 people so we're telling everyone to picnic in their cars and we'll transmit our vows over their radios and YouTube it for those who wish to stay home. We're making treat bags to hand out as guests drive in with mini champagne bottles for a toast, popcorn and chocolate covered rice krispy treats. After our ceremony, we will walk around to everyone's cars to say our hellos! No mingling, no huge cook out, no lawn games like we had planned, but this way our guests are safe and everyone gets to see me in my dress Smiley laugh .

That sounds like an amazing idea! I'm getting married 7/11 and doing a small ceremony, live streaming and then doing a drive by wedding celebration in the parking lot next door to take photos with our guests and celebrate from their cars! Will you still do a reception at a later date?

We are planning to do a big party next summer for a 1 year anniversary. We couldn't recoop all the money from our caterer so we struck a deal to push it back to next summer. We were planning on having an after party (a kegger on the farm) after the reception as well with more guests who we're invited to the wedding, so now we can literally invite anyone we want next summer to a big party. My fiance has a handful of friends in the military who cannot come due to COVID, so this way he will get to see them and celebrate with them next year.

I am so over it too!! We've changed plans 4 times. I am happy my fiance convinced me to plan SOMETHING this summer for our original date instead of pushing it out. I'm just ready to be married and move on!
