-anyone heard of bunchesdirect.com or bloomex?

Winter2009, on November 6, 2009 at 12:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

I've googled and googled bunchesdirect.com and can't find any reviews on it. Bloomex (a Canadian company) seems to be the parent company of them. Bloomex has over 50% of the reviews I found to be extremely negative.

I don't want to be a guineau pig and find out they're not a real company, or they are a terrible gamble.

Looking for anyone who's used them to give an honest review.

bunchesdirect.com have a facebook page but noone has posted any real reviews of them their either.

Any input is appreciated!

I've never heard of bunchesdirect or bloomex, but on their site it says you have to have a minimum purchase of $100, that would make me a little nervous. I've never really looked at sites where you order flowers before, so maybe that's normal. If you're unsure of them though, I'd start searching for other places to order and forget about them.

Are you having a lot of flowers at your wedding? Maybe you could mix silk flowers with real flowers to help save. Hobby Lobby has 50% sales on their silk flowers every 2-3 weeks, and Michael's puts out a lot of coupans. I'm sorry I don't have a review, I hope I helped a little. Good luck.

Hi, I've heard of them, because Im in the flower business, but they are a company that is not all that known, and I have never met a client of theirs, so Im not sure.. there are other companies like www.fiftyflowers.com, www.rosers.com, and the company that Im working for www.flowerexplosion.com. Not cause Im working there, cause I am a bride to be also and Im just as curious and trying to have everything great fro my wedding, but you can take a look and decide for yourself. The thing that sets us apart from any other vendor are the prices, the customer service, and the flexibility on any bouquet.

I ordered from them a while back, they are very good. You definitely get more than what you pay for, which is kind of nice when your wedding's super expensive. Flowers were pretty damn fresh, and the colors were just as expected. Although I heart www.fiftyflowers.com were good too, but www.bunchesdirect.com were a lot cheaper. They;re great if you're not intimidated by making your own bouquet.

Bunches Direct was the WORST company I could have considered using. We had a destination wedding, which I ordered the flowers over a month in advance. They charged my card twice - once for the balance, then on the same day for something random. On November 5th, 2010, the day before my wedding - the flowers were NOT delivered. I called to find out what was going on and got horrible customer service reps on the phone. One of which refused to give me her name, told me my wedding wasn't her problem, then hung up on me. I spoke with the "general sales manager" who refused to credit back my account immediately. I ended up going to a local florist the to purchase flowers, which ended up being cheaper than this mess of a company. I am still waiting, almost three weeks after my wedding for the balance to be refunded to my credit card. There are so many other choices out there for flowers ladies - I would avoid this like the plague!!!

Wow, it's really weird that we had such opposite experiences, they were nothing but endlessly helpful to me. Looking at bloomex, they do have some mixed reviews, though anything I found on Bunches Direct online seems to be mostly positive. Have you called them back? I would try to speak to the manager again to sort it all out. It's really unfortunate that you were so let-down for your wedding. I guess every company has its ups and downs. Did you still end up making your flowers yourself, or did the florist take care of all the arranging too?

I was VERY happy with the flowers I received from Bunches Direct. They more than made up for it when they ran out of a certain flower I had ordered and they let me know in plenty of time! I have ordered from them a couple of times now and will again!

I just received my flowers for a wedding this Saturday on schedule today. I received 50 stems of yellow alstroemeria, 30 stems of white alstromeria and 60 white tulips. I was originally going to order 200 yellow daffodils and less tulips and alstromeria, but earlier this week a Bunches Direct sales representative called me to say that they were unavailable because the growing season was over. I checked with a local florist who called three vendors and was unable to get them either. The bunches direct flowers are some of the freshest I have seen (I work in a florist shop and have done several weddings on my own) and the sales rep. was helpful in rearranging my order and agreed to refund the extra portion. I plan to try Bunches Direct again in the future, but I will say that it is annoying that when you call you reach a voicemail instead of a live representative. One more tip is: pick a second and third choice for flowers ahead of time in case anything happens. Great product + price

I recently used Bunches Direct and was EXTREMELY happy with my experience.

Bunches Direct provided excellent customer service to me. They were so helpful and took the time to help me choose the flowers that would best suit my wedding theme. I ordered beautiful rose bridesmaids bouquets, my bridal bouquet and all the boutinniers for the groomsmen. They arrived carefully packaged and were as fresh as can be. The best part of using bunches direct was the fact that I recieved wonderful flowers at a very affordable price. I saved over $400 on my wedding flowers. I will definately use them again, for my sister's wedding in 2012.

Its all luck with them, I have used them a few times with great results and then the last 2 times were disasters, with something as important as your wedding just make sure to have them delivered a week ahead of time giving you time incase something comes in awful for u to find it elsewhere. the other thing is, alot of times you have to order so much, and then with shipping on top of it you might as well have a florist do them, and not have to worry about it!

I have used them and so has my sister and we both were very satisfied. Pricing was good, but so was the service. I had a consult with Bunches bob, and he helped with alot of the questions I had. I also spoke with Knut and he was very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend them.

We needed flowers for an event that we where holding the day before Valentines Day which proved difficult until we came across Bunchesdirect.ca With one simple phone call we received lovely flowers for our fundraiser. They not only lightened and brightened the room, but they were gorgeous in the hall. I was so happy at the end of night that the staff was allowed to take the flowers home.

From my own experience I will definately say I will be using them again for my own wedding

    DO NOT BUY HERE!

Please change you name to GarbageDirect. Flowers they sent were DEAD, ROTTING, FALLING APART, ORDER INCOMPLETE. ALL flowers were brown & black, heads falling off the stem.

We used them for my daughters baptism & like they advise on their site, to have it delivered 2 days before the event. Fine. But be prepared to be running around like crazy the day before your event, trying to find new flowers! We called immediately after opening the boxes to complain about the rotten flowers they sent. As mentioned on their website, they will send new ones right away if you are not satisfied. THEY SENT THE SAME DEAD FLOWERS to replace the first batch!

We ended up running around town last minute. Take what seems like many reviewers advice & do not order here! I question the "testimonials" on their website. They refunded for the amount that they forgot to send. For the rotten flowers? They said there is nothing they can do. Not even a "Sorry for F-ing up your event".

Definitely will not use them for our wedding.

Will recommend the to our worst enemy.

I was at a wedding last month and the bride had gone with bunches direct for her flowers. they looked quite nice to me. i was curious about them as my niece is getting married next year and starting to look at options. when i asked her how it was to buy online she said it was a lot cheaper than she would have paid at the other places and that the people she dealt with were great. i'm planning on helping to make some DIY bouquets for the wedding so bunches direct seems like a pretty good option.
