Anyone having a small wedding?

I wanted no more than 50 and then when I put my family down, I was already over that. So if we had everyone, we'd have about 130 (including vendors and us). We were just going to invite everyone (the 130) and went ahead and planned it and now that FI lost his job, we've postponed and we're now rethinking everything. We originally wanted to get married on a cruise, but were worried about his parents and my Mom, but in talking with his parents (they're okay with whatever we do) and my Mom (she's not happy about a cruise) I've realized that if we plan it here (though it would be beautiful and a ton of fun), it's not really what "we" want and shouldn't it be? And if we plan it here, we're really only doing it because of my Mom and that's not fair to be spending so much money (money that we'll probably never have because of the industry that FI is in - he's laid off frequently for varying amounts of time) for a "party" just for her.

We are at 33 include FH and I. We only have a FG and RB no GM or BM. Afterwards, we are having a dinner reception at the hotels restaurant.

Less than 50 for us...the other ladies brought up a good question - what exactly is it that you consider small? Some of the ladies here feel that small is 30 people while others feel that 130 is small lol

We are expecting abut 70 so not so small but small enough to be intimate - all close family and friends.

I was told 125 is small, seems big to me, so I dont know!!! You plan it just like a big one but a smaller venue and less people, which means less of a bill lol
