Anyone have buyers remorse on their dress?

MrsVoegs17, on November 14, 2016 at 1:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

I bought my dress a couple of weeks ago, and have looked at the pics a million times since, but i can't help notice the underlying second guessing feeling i am having. I loved the dress the day i bought it, and didnt want to take it off, so i don't know why im feeling this way. Help! :-( eta:spelling

    It is beautiful!

But I had that issue as well. When I purchased my wedding dress I was 5 months pregnant. Since then I have had my daughter and now my first dress didn't fit anyhow so I was left with getting another size or a different dress. So I chose to get the first dress I tried on. I loved it but my mother hated it. In the end I got that one because it gave me the happy, certain feeling I needed with the dress. It was the best choice for me even though my mother still isn't a fan of it.

    Hope this helps.

I love it. And I think it looks amazing. Is there something in particular you don't like about it?

ETA: Just saw your update. I still like your original dress better.

I think it is a gorgeous dress and looks great on you. Try not looking at the picture for a couple weeks and then maybe try the dress on again after that (if that is possible) and see how you feel then!

I love it, but the more I think about it the more I wish it were more form fitting farther down the legs. I think part of it is the crappy picture quality and lighting because the pics don't even come close to justifying the beauty

I had dress regret a few months ago. I went out and bought another simple dress by a designer that I really wanted. However, now I really love my first dress again. My dress regret came about by looking at all the "dress" posts on WW. So my advice is to sleep on it, and don't make a hasty decision to buy a 2nd dress. Also, stay away form the dress posts. lol

ETA: I really do love your 1st dress on you.

Both dresses look great on you!

I had the same issue. I purchased my first dress too early - it is beautiful and looked great but a week later, I kept feeling like it just wasn't "me." So I booked appointments at bridal salons for four months later figuring that I'd cancel if I changed my mind. I found THE dress at one of those appointments and haven't hesitated once since then.

I had dress regret too. When I put it on in the bridal salon I cried and I loved everything about it. I waited like 10 months for it to come in and all I had to look at was the picture of me and my cry face in a sample dress that was a few sizes too small. Then when it finally did come in it was way too big because of the weight I lost. When I finally got to try it on after the first set of alterations it reconfirmed all my feelings that it was the one again.

My suggestion to you would be to stop looking at the pictures if you can, I did that and it helped me get through the last couple months. Try and remember your reaction you had when you put it on if you can't remember how you felt in it. Best of luck!

Stop looking at pictures of the other dresses! Delete them and focus on your dress. You loved it for a reason, it's stunning on you! If in a couple of weeks after you stop looking at other dresses you still dont feel right about it then maybe look at the possibility of getting a different one.

I had the same problem. But once I put the dress on again, I fall in love with it again and realize how perfect it is for me.

I personally love the dress you chose and prefer it over the second choice. But, if you're feeling weird about it, go try them on again and see if you still feel that way. Then see if you're store will offer store credit.

Your original dress is gorgeous!! It's normal to have buyer's remorse. Just remember that you loved it and chose it for a reason! Delete all pictures of other dresses. Don't even look at the "I said yes!" threads.
