Anyone have a groomzilla?

No. Thankfully FH has charged himself with honeymoon planning and I take care of all wedding planning. Win-Win

My FH didn't get upset over it, but i was really suprised when he said he wanted to have a say in what we eat! (i'm a really picky eater while he is not, so i figured he would just go with the flow). he hasn't had much input about anything so far. it was nice to see his excitement over something!

LOL! I'm picturing a guy pacing around and groaning over cake toppers and it's making me laugh! So funny. It's great that he cares so much!

My FH is very passionate about where our head table will be placed in our reception hall. So random. I wanted it on one side, he wanted it on the other. I just gave in because this is the first thing he's gotten stirred up about.

My DH came home from work after I had finished designing our STDS and sat down and redesigned them completely. About 45 minutes into the changes, he looked at me and said, 'Oh honey I just totally took this over, didn't I? You were DONE and I've completely changed it!' I took it in stride and told him it was okay. I wanted him to feel involved. This was one small area he actually took a real interest in, so I let him run with it. He never got upset about any of it though. I was pretty easy going when he wanted to get involved. It was his wedding too after all.

Mine has pretty much gone with flow up until now. We went to pay off the balance at our venue and I asked the gentleman taking the payment if we could extend our time so that my decorators could get in earlier. He said it would be an additional $150.00. FH could not understand why two hours was not enough time for them to decorate. I also had to explain in detail why we had to feed our vendors. He actually said we should get a discount if we have to feed them. I just rolled my eyes.

Mine only gets cranky when he's annoyed with me being stressed out

Yes. Mine has been groomzilla about several things, mainly beer related. Sigh.

Mine is slightly. He's the oldest of 3 boys (the 2 other brothers have both had weddings this summer), since ours is so far out he wants it to out do the others. So trying to find that balance of classy/fun/non-traditional for cheap has not been easy. The only thing he is really concerned about it the food. Namely that he wants a "man sized steak" for his family. Nothing screams staying on budget like "man sized steak"......

My FH is definitely a groomzilla, and we have barely started planning. I have come up with a few ideas I was excited about and he has shot them all down. If I bring up an idea he doesn't like he gets super stressed out. I think, that he thinks, that I will book stuff without asking him first. Haha poor guy. I would never do that of course!

Yes! My FH is a Groomzilla!! I've had 2 girls drop out of my wedding party. One because she is having serious emotional issues/jobless/no desire to look for work because she is that depressed; and the other just yesterday because she is too self-conscious of her older, misshapen body, overweight, AND just decided yesterday that she can't afford to be in the wedding because she is putting her son through private school - I am so over it, on the other hand, FH is freaking out over the "uneven bridal party!" HAHAHAHA It cracks me up because I honestly, truly, really don't care about any uneven bridal party, but he does. Its like whats wrong with this picture? LOL. The 1st girl that dropped out back in early June, he literally asked one of his groomsmen to bow out ... I told him totally not necessary, but I let him do it knowing it was a stretch for this groomsman anyway with 3 jobs, 4 kids, in a 2 bdrm apt., being in our wedding was probably too much for him, and he did gladly bow out. Now FH wants to ask another groomsman to drop out to even up the wedding party. I said NO WAY we will find something for that groomsman to do, maybe one girl can be ushered by two groomsmen. He is so funny about the uneven bridal party when I could care less. Groomzilla.

Hahah I think groomzilla's are hysterical, but I haven't experienced it with my FH yet

My best friend's husband comes across as the most laid-back guy ever, but secretly he's pretty type A. My best friend had the best time confiding in me about all of his groomzilla moments - like when he request the band's full play list and sorted every single song in to 4 different tiers of how much he would like them to be played! hahaha i love it

FH is a groomzilla about certain things: head table vs sweetheart table, traditional vs non traditional dress, the look of the cake. It's all random stuff.

Our only thing is he does NOT want to see me before the wedding. No first look, no pictures before, nothing. Does not want to see me. He said his first look at me in the wedding dress he wants to be when I come down the aisle.

Im with you kelly i think its cool. im curious to see if my FH will do this.. only time will tell.

There has only been a couple times where he's actually turned into a groomzilla but then suddenly changed his mind on it. Lol been a little frustrating.

Hahah yes I do! He has vetoed several of my ideas including first look, cupcakes, name change, bridal party, menswear ideas. Since I gave up the first look he has agreed to pretty much everything since that is one thing that I really wanted to have

My groom isn't a groomzilla but my friend's groom is. He demanded that there be a second bridal shower in his hometown with his family because he wanted to open gifts. He also picked their colors. Told the bride she couldn't buy a dress until he had his suit because he wanted them to cmpliment one another. Told his bride he probably wouldn't have any emotion when she walks down the aisle cuz it's really not that big of deal. Then was pissed because his bride threw my fiance and I a surprise engagement party when we got back from vacation and we never threw them one. He also planned his own bachelor party and made the groomsmen pay for it.

Everything. We all joke that this is essentially Jason's wedding, and my job is to pay and show up.
