Anyone getting married outside in September?

We're getting married in September outside, but in southern California. It will definitely be warm, but we didn't want a cooler month with higher possibilities of rain. Plus at night it will be cooler. We also have access to the house that is right next to the dance floor, so if people get too hot/too cold they can go inside.

I think it totally depends. The weather can be so unpredictable! I went to a wedding in upstate NY last year in late September and the entire thing was outside. We were all freezing. I think you can certainly plan to have your wedding outdoors, but if you have the option, make a "plan b" to move it inside after you see what the weather is looking like for that week.

Yes we’re planning an outdoor ceremony in mid September in Maine. Some days can be warm during that time of year but outdoors is our plan A unless it’s too warm or raining.

Average temperature in NY in September is between 60 and 77. I think that's fine, especially if you're having the ceremony in the late afternoon right before an evening reception.

I am! The weather here in NM is generally decent at that time still......hopefully I didn’t jinx anything lol

Our ceremony would be semi outdoors as it will be under a balcony. Our date is early September, so it will still be warm in the Philly suburbs.

I'm probably going to do September in NY as well, I'm optimistic but I know something wacky might happen. My mom always tells me how it was almost 80 for my parents October wedding.

Don't see a problem with this at all. I went to an outdoor wedding end of August here in PA. Went to another outdoor in the woods in September and that day was chilly enough for a sweater. I don't think it'll be "too hot" It's not gonna be 90 haha

Agreeing with Brittany here! I think it'd be fine to plan for an outdoor wedding in September but to maybe make sure you have a plan B just in case it's too hot or rainy.

Is the outdoor ceremony space covered? So it would be shady? What time of day is your wedding?
