Anyone getting married at a restaurant?

qm7909, on June 9, 2014 at 4:41 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I've been trying to find anywhere that does this... Everyone talks about the reception at a restaurant but not the wedding. Since my event is small and my total budget is tiny I'd like to kill two birds with one stone Smiley smile

I'm getting married at a restaurant. We are renting out the main banquet room. Because our guest list is fairly small they allow the ceremony to be held in one of the room and the reception tables will be pulled out and the chairs moved during the cocktail hour.

The trick is finding a restaurant in your city with a banquet room big enough to do this.

My reception hall is in a restaurant building. It has a couple private banqet hall rooms. We are having the ceremony right outside the building in front of a gazebo

Kind of... the restaurant has a dynamite ballroom behind it, and we will be getting married there... but the bathrooms are the ones that the diners use, so random people will be seeing me in my wedding gown... it'll be fin though

Del Frisco Double Eagle Steakhouse has multiple private rooms (their largest room fits 75 people). Our wedding reception is being held in the one in Dallas. We're having 44 guests with a food/beverage minimum of $3,300. I'm sure if you contacted their event coordinator she would work with you to include a ceremony space for your event. I'm not sure your budget. They had another room we looked at that had a minimum of $2800.

If that's to much, there are other restaurants, but you'd have to contact them to find out or do a quick google search for restaurant ceremony in whatever city you're interested in.

We are holding both the ceremony and reception in the same room at a reception. They have a banquet area in the back of the restaurant that's large enough for both with our small wedding..

Yes the restaurant has a loft area where we will have the ceremony in the loft area, cocktail will be on the patio while the loft is flipped for the reception. This is for 40 people.

Another restaurant I looked into had a beautiful lobby area that they would close off during the ceremony (directing other patron to another entrance) and then have the reception in a private dining room.
