Anyone from Waco, tx - magnolia silos?

Hello! FH and I would like to do a road trip for our honeymoon. No serious plans, no reservations, just getting in the car and driving to places that we've always wanted to go. We're from New York so we are probably traveling south down to Carolinas, Florida, I would love to also go over to Tennessee. Another place that we would love to go is Chip and Jo's market - but it is pretty far. Has anyone been there, what are your thoughts? Is it worth the travel to only spend a day there? Is there anything else to do in the area? thanks!

    That is far! You'd spend half a week in the car just to get there and back. Come down, through the mountains, maybe as far as Asheville. That's a scenic trip with lots of lovely towns on the way.

    We went to the silos last spring in an 8 hour drive but stayed in Dallas. You could easily spend a day at the market and have fun. There are food trucks, a bakery, a large yard to play lawn games on and of course the market. We drove around to Harps wood co and looked at some of the houses featured on the show. You could stay at an air bnb and make it a two day thing.

    I haven’t gone down yet but my FH and I just planned a four day trip to Waco for March. From most of the research I’ve done, you could definitely spend a solid day at the Silos and there is a lot to do in Waco. We are splitting our time between Waco and Dallas. We are flying from NH. I think if you wanted to do a road trip, it may be too far of a drive! But I would definitely recommend visiting at some point! Smiley smile
