Hi Everyone!
I've not been on here in a very long time. So much going on in the world, and especially our lives. We are all dealing with a pandemic, fires, hurricanes, and the stress of everyday life. So grateful for this forum and my WW friends. ❤
Well, the path to marriage has not been easy. We have been trying to marry since April 2018. Many of you know this. Life has gotten in the way. First, my mother passed, my father had to have FOUR surgeries ( including open heart), then my fiancé's mother became ill and he became her full-time caregiver ( for 2 years), my service dog, my beloved Gaston, passed away in June 2019, and now my FMIL has recently passed. We have dealt with much sadness mixed with our joy.
I'm of Irish decent so we planned to elope to Ireland in May 2021. It's not working out with covid-19 and a possible 14 day quarantine upon arrival in Dublin, even next Spring. Simply too iffy. The Gothic castle was gorgeous, indeed, and perfect for the Victorian themed wedding we desire. Now we'll save it for a vow renewal.
So,...... drum roll please..... we have plans in place to elope to Jamaica!! We will have a sunset ceremony at Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort in an over the water gazebo, possibly the one shown with the lace draped chairs, pictured. Have to sneak in our Victorian touches. Our wedding date is April 9, 2021. I pray that from this time forth everything falls into place. We have been patient.
I'd love to hear your stories as we all stick together in this difficult time. Best of luck and lots of love to each and every couple. 💕❤ xoxo
