Anyone doing their own hair and makeup?

I want a complicated hairstyle, so I won't even dare.

I can very well do my own make up, but I am still getting my make up done by a professional. That's just something I don't want to have to worry about.

Are you good at doing your own make up? Do you have any pictures?

I will be doing my own makeup, I absolutely love makeup so I have tons of it and am always practicing. I wouldn't mind having it done by someone else but we are having a private ceremony with just me, FH, photographer and officiant a few hours from where we live, so it'll be more convenient for me to do it myself. I am going to have my hair professionally done though because I am not at all skilled in that department. Do you normally wear a full face of makeup?

I definitely wont tread into hair world on my own. Make up and I am confident in, I just do not know if I want to take the time to mess with it.

Well I know what I want with hair and makeup so I feel like it would be easy to just do it myself because I know what I want. I don't have any pics though sorry I am not a professional but I would say I am good at doing my own makeup. I dont usually wear alot.of makeup I like a very natural look

I'll be doing my own makeup and hair! I want super simple, which is something HMU artists can't seem to grasp in my area. Plus, my hair is really easy to do and my bridesmaids offered to help me if needed

Make sure you have a good primer and setting spray, and also remember that makeup needs to be heavier than usual to show up in photos.

I'm getting my hair done at a salon and I'm doing my makeup at home BUT my friend is a hair stylist and really good at makeup so she will be helping (or she may just do all of it lol) if she can just take care of my eyes I would be happy. I just can't seem to "get" eyeshadow

I asked for pictures because, a lot of times, we tend to be overconfident on our skills. Your family and friends aren't always honest and may say something looks nice when it doesn't. Just remember that you'll have these pictures forever. You don't want to look back and wish that you paid for a HMUA.

A good HMUA should be able to look at a picture and replicate it. That's why people do trials. But if you're really set, visit a make up store and get a consultant to give you products that will hold up the duration of the wedding.

I'm definitely not. I do makeup for weddings all of the time, but I don't want to have the added pressure of doing my own. It's your day, spoil yourself!

I've done the makeup for my friend's wedding, and her sister gave her a gift certificate for her favorite salon, otherwise I would have been doing that too. As for myself, I just don't want to have to worry about it, so I'll likely be trying to hire a HMUA.

I was toying with the idea.... I wanted my hair done like I normally do it, 1950’s waves, red lip and cat eye liner. I know can do it myself but idk if I should just spend the money and pamper myself
