Anyone doing a slow motion video booth?

daisydew14, on April 30, 2015 at 11:28 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 6

Has anyone had a slow motion video booth or planning on having one at your wedding? It looks like a lot of fun but also kind of pricey. Anyone have an idea of how much? Has anyone tried to DIY by renting lighting, video cameras, etc? It seems like it would be be more interactive than the traditional photo booth. I'm worried about confetti and silly string though. Our reception is in a historic venue, so we can't be making all kinds of mess lol. Thoughts on having one/is it worth it?

They look kind of cool, but I also think they look expensive so I haven't inquired lol. I'm kind of interested to see if anyone's doing them and how much they run...

It looks pretty cool but looks expensive and I'm also guessing it would kind of take away from the fact that guests are there for the wedding. I could see a long line of people waiting to have fun with it instead of a line to greet you haha.

I got a quote from someone in Tennessee (I'm in Indiana) and for a 2 person manned booth with live uploads, editing, etc it was going to be $5K plus travel and accomodations (since they're out of town). That's soooo not in my budget at the moment, haha. If it were cut in half, I would seriously consider it but can't do that price. I'm going to look into a DIY although I'd have to borrow or rent some lighting and camera equipment. Aghhh maybe it's not worth it...
