I never thought my fiancé would want to travel for our honeymoon and honestly I am very excited that he wants to go to Aruba (his idea)! has anyone honeymooned there? Where did you stay? all inclusive? tell me everything!

We booked our honeymoon in Aruba for February 2020. We will be staying at the riu all inclusive adult only resort. Staying for 5 nights. There is a Facebook group of you want to see pictures and first hand experiences.

We wont be honeymooning there, but we did go on a cruise that stopped there last summer. We did a National Geographic snorkeling excursion that was amazing! It took you to several snorkeling spots. But the last stop was our favorite because it was a shipwreck from 1940. Here is the link to the cruise excursion if you want to try and find something similar.

All-inclusives are great when you don't want to explore much of a place or there is a high crime rate. I love all inclusives. However, I wouldn't recommend one for Aruba. The island is super safe and easy to get around. There are tons of amazing restaurants (Wacky Wahoo's was delicious), and you are less likely to go to them if you are at an all-inclusive resort. When I went, we rented an Airbnb and a car (although there are plenty of taxis and buses) and explored that way. The island has great beaches (highly recommend Eagle Beach) and tons to do. We went to the nature park, the old fortress, and on a sunset cruise, among other things. We did not venture too much into Noord or the lower half of the island.

There is tons to explore in Aruba. We loved it!

My friends just got back from their honeymoon in Aruba. Loved it but they didn't stay at an all inclusive and said it was insanely expensive.

Going there in general was very expensive? or the all inclusive's were expensive?
