Trying to plan a honeymoon for May...have heard such great things about Indonesia/Philippine Islands but would love to hear from someone who has been!

Been to Philippines for wedding in Boracay - beautiful island and you can go island hopping there!

I haven't been but a friend of mine just got back from Bali and was not impressed with the beaches or the food. She did enjoy the city and the people though.

Another friend went to the Phillipines in August and absolutely loved it.

I was not impressed with Bali, but that might change if I had picked a different hotel. Many friends love Bali, but they usually rent villas that aren't on the beach or stay in hotels that are up in the hills. I don't know many people that love the beach front hotels in Bali (but that might just be my group of friends). If you are looking for something a little different in Indonesia, I would recommend Jogjakarta to see the Borobudur and Prambanan temples- but at most that is a few day trip, but was an absolutely amazing experience.
I haven't been to the Philippines, but againhave a lot of friends that have been and they all love Boracay. Hope this helps a little with your planning.
