Any RNs that wear their ring to work?

Wondering if any other nurses out there wear their engagement ring to work or just their wedding band? I'm getting married in march but it hurts my FHs feelings when I don't wear the engagement ring... I just don't like the thought of it being around all the muck at work.

I always wear mine to work, but I do always make sure it's still on my finger after I remove my gloves!

I wear mine! It fits very well and I have no fear of it coming off with gloves or hand washing!

I'm an X-ray tech and I wear mine. But it is low profile and doesn't snag or rip through gloves. I always check my hand when I take gloves off.

My setting is high and the ends are pointy. So far I've been cautious of putting the gloves on and off and have had no issues. Still makes me nervous! I think when I get the wedding band I will just wear that to work.

I'm not a nurse, but I'm an athletic trainer. I wear mine everyday. During wrestling matches I turn the diamond on the inside because I wear gloves all the time

Off topic kinda but I just want to thank all of you nurses for what you do . Since having my daughter and her having an airway defect I have learned to appreciate doctors and nurses so much .

I'm purposely not getting my rings soldered, so I can wear the wedding band at work.... And wear the engagement ring in my free time.

I don't wear mine at work. I don't wear any rings at all at work. I also keep my nails short and neat. First, it'd be a pain with gloves. Second, hand sanitizer would gunk it up. Third, infection control. Just think of all the nasty germs that would be hiding in the ring. EWWWW. Fecal matter, blood, C diff, MRSA.... All I am saying is that there is a reason they don't allow jewelry from the elbow down in the NICU!!

I have some nursing friends that wear theirs on a necklace, but I've seen those break and them lose their ring. And I don't want to wear something that costs thousands on a necklace and lose it. Also, the hospital I work in is in a scary part of town, so I'm afraid someone would grab it and yank and steal it.

So, to sum that up, I wear a FAKE ring on a necklace : ) It's a nice fake, and it only cost $10 on Amazon! My husband is totally on board. BTW, he wears an inexpensive fake wedding ring to work too, and ties it on his scrub pants. So if it gets lost, no biggie. We got that fake ring on Amazon too for like $15 : )

I wear mineSmiley smile I never take it off, so I would be freaking out that I lost it if I started taking it off for work. It's a low profile though, so no issues with gloves.

I work in the ER. I bought a 4mm simple rose gold and that I wear to work.

I explained to FH that I spend half my day elbow deep in urine. I don't want my real rings anywhere near that

ETA: also I've heard horror stories of pulling them off with a pair of gloves and going in the garbage. So that's another reason for the 12$ band

Right now I wear my engagement ring and double glove when I am with patients. After I get my wedding band, I will only wear that to work. I explained why to my fh and he seemed to be okay with it after I explained why I dont want to wear it to work.

I'm in nursing school! I never wear mine to the hospital, too afraid it'll get messed up. I either wear my Qalo ring or nothing at all. DH doesn't care either way.

I'm a rad tech and I bought a 4 pack of silicon rings on amazon to wear. I didn't like the fact that all that hand sanitizer would wreck the ring and make less shiny.

I'm not a nurse, but I also don't like wearing my ring to work. I'm a nanny and poop and diamonds don't mix imo. I wear a silicone wedding ring at work.
