Any other Fall 2020 brides not postponing?

Hi! September 5, 2020 here! We are getting married in a small town in PA that has about 55 covid cases total. I feel pretty okay about it...until I come on here and see so many people postponing. Don't get me wrong, I get it, but it just makes me start to panic a little. We have about 130ish guests,...
Hi! September 5, 2020 here! We are getting married in a small town in PA that has about 55 covid cases total. I feel pretty okay about it...until I come on here and see so many people postponing. Don't get me wrong, I get it, but it just makes me start to panic a little. We have about 130ish guests, everything is outside on a private family property with a very spacious area, and most of our guests are from the area where the wedding is taking place. I've added a blurb on our website asking guests to please consider getting tested for covid before attending and bringing a mask, especially if they happen to be coming from out if state or from a high risk area. We've got most things done, payed for, and ready to go and our vendors are all full steam ahead as well. I'm still trying to stay positive. I've waited long enough, I do NOT want to change things.

Anyone else in the same boat?

We postponed from September 2020 to September 2021 since our wedding us in Europe. We were hopeful things might improve, but we feel it was the right decision even though it was difficult.

I would probably feel the same since it's out of the country. I'm so sorry you had to postpone though!

Thanks, Ashley. It was so hard to do. I hope your wedding goes on as planned and smoothly! If my wedding had been in the U.S., I probably would have given it more time since I feel hopeful for the latter part of the year.

I feel the same way! we are 9/4/20 and we are full steam ahead (it’s our original date). At the beginning of this we said we would only cancel if we absolutely had to due to restrictions. We are expecting 130 guest. The venue is outside. Most of the guests (70%) are family and the rest are friends. Pretty much everyone except a handful is local. A few people have dropped out but all our immediate family except 1 of my aunts is coming. It can be easy to feel pressure to postpone but I just wanna do it. My cousin is getting married 10/9 and she’s not postponing either.

Oh that’s nice! Then you don’t have to worry about restrictions. We are getting married at The Manor House at Prophecy Creek Park in Ambler

I've never been over there but I'm sure it's gorgeous! Ours is in Northern PA (Bradford County) the only restriction we really have is 250 guests or less! We defffff don't have that many lol more like 120. We will also have hand sanitizers out, and our caterers are serving the food by themselves so nobody else has to touch the spoons and such. 😊

Yeah we originally only invited about 150 so we were already below the limit anyway! I don’t even think I know 250 people that I could invite lol
