Any other “bad brides” out there?

I overwhelmed myself at the beginning to have as much done as possible so that I don’t panic at the end like this! Lol 😅
I have my first of three alteration appointment set for four months from my wedding. I’m doing all of our flowers myself and decor which I bought a bunch of already although I do still have a bit more to go. But I do have to book a hair and make up trial. We know what wedding bands we want but we just have not purchased them yet. But I’m behind on hotel accommodations and transportation for guests. I’m also trying to start a business, he’s trying to get a new job and we’re trying to move the same month as our wedding which has been extremely overwhelming. I’m surprised I haven’t dropped the ball more on our wedding planning with all the stress. My fiancé would take a lot of it on if I wanted him to but I’m just a bit of a control freak lmao. Instead it’s just been literally eating me alive 💀 we waited awhile to look for a venue but once we found one we only gave ourselves a year to plan our wedding and with all the other stuff going on this will be the most stressful year of my life by far

77 days for me too and I stalled - I have the basics - tent/ caterer/ chairs/ bartender/ photographer/ but I have lost all motivation to be doing the basics. This has by far been my most stressful year with family issues and funerals and work - I am worried!

My major goal for this week is I am finalizing cake flavor / getting groomsmen clothing and getting invites prepared

You are not a bad bride! By that stage in my planning, I still had yet to do the following: *Order wedding bands, *Purchase wedding cake, *Get wedding dress altered 😬, *Find a DJ, *Find a bartender, *Purchase glassware, *Write wedding vows, *Pick music for important moments, *Send invitations, and a whole bunch else!



It worked out fine for me in the end. I recommend writing everything down in one place and prioritizing your list based on what will take the longest to complete. Good luck!

You're definitely not a bad bride! Don't worry, you'll figure it out and everything will fall into place! 😁 Sidenote: I wanted to share that you are not the only one feeling this way. I also feel behind as well!! Unfortuantely I am also a procrastinator 😅🤣 I feel like there is still so much to do in such a short amount of time!😅 But do not worry everything will be just fine! 😄

I was doing stuff right up to the wedding because I am a procrastinator as well and also time was an issue. I also thought I had done everything but looked at a checklist and realised what I was missing. So my piece of advice would be just make sure you have a good checklist or planner/diary so that you know you have done everything and you don't get any surprises Good luck

We’re about 188 days out and there’s so much I still need to do. I honestly just don’t have the willpower to do any of it 😆
