Good afternoon everyone,
Awhile back, I read a discussion on someone trying to get a passport renewed during the COVID-19 crisis. I was wanting to know how that turned out or if you are still waiting. If anyone has a story to share I would be glad to hear it.
My back story to this passport mess is that me and my fiance were originally scheduled to go on a cruise for our honeymoon. Well the further into the COVID-19 situation, I knew the cruise was going to be cancelled, it was just the when at that point. So we started to plan for other options. Of course we were thinking about Sandals or even a all inclusive resort in Mexico and all that. Well one day it hit me after working that "I DON'T HAVE MY FREAKING PASSPORT". Well, I have one, but it expired last year right after we got engaged, so I didn't see the end to renew it with my soon to be name change and a honeymoon where it wasn't needed. Obviously now I regret that decision. So I sent my passport for renewal towards the end of April to see if my the grace of God it comes in before I made official new plans. They cashed my check ASAP and haven't heard or seen anything yet. I was checking the status section online and for the longest it said not found and maybe two weeks ago it updated to in progress. I was hoping that was positive news, but still not sure how to feel about it. I have made myself a deadline to receive it prior to making new honeymoon arraignments, which is now 11 days away. I am thinking maybe to push it a little longer in hopes, but don't want to wait too late! Any suggestions or stories on your passport story?!?!?!
Hope everyone is well and wishing my July Brides lots of love and I hope your wedding is happening!
