Any ladies changing dresses? If so is it a secret?

Amber, on November 3, 2020 at 5:15 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

I found 2 dresses I absolutely love at a great price (less than my budget for 1 dress) Smiley laugh One is a ball gown i will wear from ceremony until dinner dinner is over. The other is a mermaid style and a little sexy that has stretch and is so comfy for dancing. I plan on telling my hubby that I am going to fix my makeup right before our first dance then go change. The DJ is going to announce me for the dance and I will come out in my new dress. I am super excited!1 any other ladies changing dresses?

How fun that you are going to surprise your husband! And how amazing that you found TWO dresses and managed to come in under budget!! I don’t blame you for wanting to change out of a large ballgown. It sounds like the second dress will be much easier to maneuver around in.
I am also going to be changing into a second dress, but it is just a shortened version of my ceremony dress- so not a huge difference.

I didn’t change dresses but I like the idea behind it because it could be easier to move around in a slimmer dress

I had 2 separate events and I didn’t want to wear the same dress. Especially while going out first dance, it had a few twists and turns and my train was constantly getting stuck in my feet. My husband didn’t see either dresses until the day of each events.

I always said I wanted two different dresses, but I didn't know when I would change because I didn't want to take time from the reception to go change. I also loved my dress so much and mine was a ballgown. I did change into a shorter white dress for our after party though.

My hubby & I changed during cocktail hour into our pirate outfits which surprised our guests (although once they went to the wine cave reception and saw a pirate theme they were pretty surprised already).

Yes, I’m changing dresses near the end of dinner. But, it’s not a secret from FH. He’s changing into a different color jacket for the reception. Both of my dresses are mermaid, but the second dress is much lighter weight and the fabric is more flexible and easier to move in.
