Any Juliet cap fans out there?

Maria, on July 20, 2017 at 10:42 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

Am I shouting out to the void? I think these are so pretty! 2 weeks ago I had no idea Juliet caps existed. Or that there were so many cuts, fabrics, types of veils! I had only considered the different lengths. Being Latina I loved the idea of a mantilla but I'm not sure it suits my dress anymore.

Right now I'm totally in love with sheer Juliet caps! Some inspiration pics below!

Any Juliet cap appreciation on WW???

Looks like Lily Allen and Kate Moss wore some relatively recently and it's coming back?

Not the look I'm going for but a more vintage look. In case someone like me hadn't heard of these before their veil search. And I'll stop bumping up my own thread now. Promise.

I love Juliet caps! I think it takes a particular dress to make the veil work, but if it can be pulled off, go for it! They're so beautiful and I think it would look lovely on you. Smiley smile

I LOVE this look and briefly considered it myself (ended up going for something birdcagey designed by a family friend). i would fully go for it!! it's both classic and unusual at the same time, which is my favourite wedding aesthetic combo Smiley smile

I love them!! If I weren't wearing my mom's veil, I would definitely go for this look. My dress would compliment this style, for sure.

I think they are very stylish but I don't think I could every pull off this look.

Confession: I did not have a bridal moment when they put the regular veil on me at the bridal shop. I needed them to take it off! It was disappointing because I keep hearing that many people have a moment with the veil. I only discovered Juliet caps and all these other veils researching online. So I may totally hate it when I try it on. But I really want to try it haha!

How do you know if a veil suits a dress? I'm clueless.

I love them, but don't think it'll go with my dress. I think you need a simple, relatively fitted gown to best suit a Juliet cap. My dress is super sparkly, and a Juliet cap would look weird with it since it's more vintage.

My dress is a lace ballgown. :/ Oh well.
