Any ideas on how to DIY temp. attach necklace to dress

Ask your seamstress. They may be able to add something like those little clips that keep bra straps in place. I don't know what they're called, but I have them in some of my dressed

Do you have a picture? It would probably be very easy to run a circle of thread around the necklace through the dress, you can color match the thread to your dress and could sit between the embellishments on the necklace to make it invisible. Then just cut the thread when you're ready to remove it!

Fishing line

Maybe try garment tape. Its clear and doesn't leave any residue

I think sewing it would be the easiest. Thread wouldn't show and you could just cut it (carefully) after, like Amanda said.

Thanks everyone I think a few small stitches the day of hopefully will do the trick. Fishing line is a good strong idea. Just will have to have my husband literally cut me out of my dress after haha

I'm a DIY-er so this is what I would do:

I would probably just stitch it onto the dress in a few places. You'll have to figure out which places with the necklace and dress on and then have an assistance probably take notes/add pins. Afterwards you'd just have to remove the stitches to dettach the necklace.
