Any future firefighter wives incorporating firefighting items?

Chloe, on November 10, 2012 at 1:25 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 12

We are not having a firefighter themed wedding per se, but was curious what some of you may be incorporating if any, in your ceremony/reception? So far, we plan on using a personalized axe for the cake cutting, and I like the "fill the his or her boot" idea during the dollar dance and possibly a garter with maltese emblem.

Please share any ideas!

My FH and I are both police officers we are not having a police themed wedding but I am making a patrol car for the grooms cake and thought about doing a cake topper too. Also I'm going to get two of our friends to have their patrol cars parked outside with the blue lights on as we exit the reception!

Chloe, your welcome! We are Irish so it falls under the same category! Smiley smile As long as it keeps the beer cold that is all that matters!! Smiley smile

    Future fire wife!!!!

For our wedding (not fire themed but will be adding touches) We are also doing the axe for the cake cutting, I already have a garter that has the maltese cross on it, we also will have firefighter purse hangers that will be on the front of our sweetheart table, that will hold the 'hubby and wifey' signs, something fire related for his grooms cake, my FH and all his groomsmen (that are all FF on his shift) will have maltese cross cuff links, and we will have a lot of our engagement pictures printed and hanging up at the reception venue (all of the photos were done at his station)

Congrats on being a future fire wife! Smiley smile

I saw photos of a wedding that took place in my hometown, the groom is a Volunteer with them, and they had photos taken with one of the trucks outside the firehouse with the bridal party in tow.

The axe can be found on ebay or etsy. Here is the one we got:
